Elōs Technology
The technology used at Salma's is of the highest standard with little to no downtime. The equipment is multi-functional and treats not only unwanted hair, but also removes pigmented lesions, vascular legions, provides non-invasive skin renewal and dermal remodeling. It is the latest equipment by Syneron which uses their innovative Elōs technology. With light energy, this procedure will destroy the hair follicles at the root while protecting the skin around. It can be used on most skin types and treats hair of most colors. This equipment can also be used for skin tightening as well as photo facials. Different attachments and settings are used for the various services and procedures. The Elōs uses a combination of bipolar radio frequency (RF) current and optical energy (pulsed light) to treat the areas. The pulse light targets the areas requiring treatment and generates thermal energy heating the target and reducing resistance. The RF current creates gentle heat traveling through the least resistant path resulting in faded pigmented lesions and halting the regrowth of hair. Elōs technology has a built in safety feature which acts like a thermometer and can sense temperature changes.
Hair Removal
For hair removal, the laser is targeted at the at the problem areas causing damage to the hair follicle and in turn, reducing the hair growth cycle. A considerable hair growth reduction can be seen.
For most individuals, 6 sessions spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart are recommended to obtain optimal results. The treatment plan will be adjusted according to hair type and coarseness.

Skin Rejuvenation (Photo Facial)
This procedure is highly effective in reducing and reversing various skin issues such as, sun damage, pigmentations and vascular irregularities. With the power of the intense pulsed light, the skin is gently penetrated and stimulated, resulting in regeneration, activating natural mechanisms for wound healing and improving overall collagen production. The skin does darken temporarily following the Photo Facial due to thermal damage, however it lightens up after that. This process takes about 3-4 weeks post treatment.
For most individuals, 3-6 treatments are recommended for optimal results.

Skin Tightening With Radio Frequency
This non-invasive procedure is used to provide firm, younger looking skin over time. Radio frequency energy emits heat to the dermis while not affecting the epidermis. The applied heat increases collagen production to result in firm and tighter skin.
For most individuals, results can be seen as early as the first treatment, however, for optimal results it is recommended to repeat the procedure once a month.
